How I Started...

Hello! Grab a cup of coffee or tea, and pretend we are old friends sitting down to chat.

 

I have always loved taking pictures, even as a young child. My Dad is a photographer and musician, so I grew up in a very creative family. It wasn't until I had my own children that my love of photography really blossomed. I have four children (Three boys and a girl, ages 13 and under), whom I homeschool. 

 

What began as fun adventures in photography, taking pictures of my children, turned into taking photos of my friend’s children and their friend’s children. What can I say? I love children! I love capturing their personalities. Some have called me the baby whisperer. When you have four children, in four years, you learn how to be calm, or you will loose your mind. I also have a child with special needs, and that has taught me so incredibly much as a mother and photographer.

 

I would have had a dozen or more kids. But since that wasn't possible, I get the opportunity to take pictures of other people’s children. That is a privilege that I hold near and dear to my heart. My "clients" typically turn into my dearest friends, and their children I love and adore. I specialize in natural light, on location photography. For Newborns, I have an in home studio in the greater Atlanta area. The reason I specialize in newborns and children? One very simple reason, I LOVE working with them!
